On July 9, 2013 the right of lawful gun owner to carry firearms in public became law in Illinois
The new law establishes strict requirements for issuance and renewal of a CONCEALED CARRY LICENSE and FOID Cards.
The new law regulates the possession, transportation licensing and registration of firearms and provides for THE RIGHT OF APPEAL FOR THOSE DENIED THE RIGHT TO POSSESS AND CARRY FIREARMS
The Illinois State Police have been mandated to have an application process fully implemented by JANUARY 9, 2014
